We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced 2nd shift Maintenance Technician with a strong background in maintaining electrical and mechanical systems. This position performs repairs and preventive maintenance associated with manufacturing equipment, including high-speed filling equipment, autoclaves, packaging automation equipment, labeling equipment, vision system equipment, oyster bay equipment, cell washers, and centrifuges.

Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing/Medical Device/ Pharmaceutical/Electrical and Mechanical Systems)
Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform and document all maintenance and repairs in a timely and proficient manner in accordance to our established Standard Operating and Safety Procedures.
Additional responsibilities include:
Troubleshooting manufacturing equipment issues
Ensuring that manufacturing equipment is maintained according to established SOPs/Task Lists to maintain equipment reliability and uptime
Establishing strong working partnerships based on a commitment to teamwork and mutual accountability to ensure alignment on equipment uptime in support of production goals
Working with contractors involved with repairs or projects to ensure that they are meeting Immucor’s expectations with regard to quality of workmanship and safety
Performing all work in accordance with Immucor and OHSA safety procedures
Assisting in accurate inventory of spare parts for manufacturing equipment
Making recommendations for efficiency improvements, equipment purchases and facility upgrades
Ensuring that all documentation is in compliance with departmental standard operating procedures
Ensuring all work is done in compliance with FDA, ISO, OSHA, and GMP regulations and standards
Performing other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
As a Maintenance Technician, you must be highly motivated and able to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking and time-management skills, as well as superior analytic and problem-solving abilities. It will also be important to your role as a Maintenance Technician that you have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Must be flexible to work nights and weekends.
Additional requirements include:
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a Production paced environment
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
Knowledgeable with PLC’s, AC/DC motors, stepper & servo motors and drives
Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of "like equipment," preferred
High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma), required
1-2 years related experience
One year certificate from college or technical school, preferred
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Basic to intermediate math skills
Ability to lift 10 - 20 pounds, occasionally up to 100
Ability to work 2nd shift
