Mechanical Technician – Solid Phase (Manufacturing )

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Technician you as the first one called when a machine starts to malfunction. You will be responsible for knowing the ins and outs of their machines. In addition, this position performs daily tasks associated with production of lmmucor products.

Additional responsibilities for this role include:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all mechanical and hydraulic equipment. Skill-level requirements vary from basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to component replacement.

  • Diagnose equipment issues and make the corresponding repairs. Perform routine maintenance.

  • Check equipment and operating systems and correct wherever necessary.

  • Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.

  • Resolve motor, pump, conveyor and hydraulic problems.

  • Repair and perform preventive maintenance as per established standards.

  • Use hand tools including power tools and rigging equipment daily.

  • Perform task and administrative aspects of the operations according to department procedures, specifications or work instructions (job orders), including starting up and breaking down operations, clearing operation areas, calculating component usage, verify counts of products in and out of operations, visual inspection of product for defects.

  • Operates and maintains department equipment which may include Oyster Bay equipment, computers, printers, refrigerators, trolleys, and carts according to department specifications. Performs manufacturing operations according to department procedures, specifications or work instructions (job orders) and completes tasks within procedure/work instruction-defined time frames.

  • Calculates accurately solid phase components used, rejected or returned.

Mechanical Technician – Solid Phase (Manufacturing )

Qualifications

This role will be responsible for operating automated equipment on the production lines, support packaging operations and support any task associated with the daily manufacturing operations.

We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic and experience working in manufacturing environment and must be able to work irregular hours including flexibility with all shifts as necessary to meet production schedule deadlines. As well as someone who interacts cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, or managers of other departments, receives direction well from superiors.

Additional requirements for this role include:

  • High School diploma OR GED required; Associates Degree in Life Science, Engineering or Automation field, preferred

  • Mechanic certification or 5 years’ experience as Manufacturing mechanic is preferred

  • Previous experience working as a manufacturing mechanic under cGMPs conditions

  • Must be able to work within an evolving environment. Must be able to accept change to the work schedule on a daily basis.
