Senior Corporate Instructional Training Designer – Developer (Training Design Development)

Responsibilities

As a Senior Corporate Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative and results-oriented training programs for global employees, in accordance with Immucor’s regulatory guidelines. This will involve working with all Immucor departments to determine training needs and to design and develop training programs using performance based training techniques and evaluations.

Additional requirements for this role include:

  • Delivering training materials and programs utilizing sound instructional design practices and methodologies

  • Ensuring all training materials and course content incorporate the best practices in adult learning theory

  • Utilizing and managing the ADDIE instructional design process to develop required course content and deliverables

  • Conferring with management, supervisors, and employees to gather knowledge of work situations requiring training to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies

  • Conducting needs assessment and performance analysis to determine training needs

  • Delivering effective interactive training sessions and materials that facilitate application of knowledge and learning

  • Developing training utilizing multimedia visual aids, web-based training, and reference work

  • Evaluating training courses bi-annually to ensure program quality and company standards

  • Updating and enhancing existing programs as necessary to meet the changing needs of the business by implementing new and innovative delivery methods

  • Participating in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain new information to be integrated into training materials

Senior Corporate Instructional Training Designer – Developer (Training Design Development)

Qualifications

We are looking for a Senior Corporate Instructional Training Designer who combines strong technical capabilities with the business savvy to make sound strategic recommendations. You should also be highly organized and detail-oriented, with solid multitasking and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple challenging projects. It is also important that you display excellent communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills, as well as the ability to adapt training to a variety of different learning styles.

Specific requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s Degree in Instructional Design or adult education related field, preferred

  • 5 - 7 years of instructional design experience, creating various training curriculums, programs and materials

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in technical writing in the Healthcare and/or Medical Diagnostic field is required

  • Must work on site at corporate headquarters in Norcross, GA

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects while working well under pressure

  • Ability to guide others through management and prioritization of multiple projects

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office suite

  • Experience with learning management systems, preferred

  • Experience working in a regulatory environment, a plus
